The sun looked fairly uneventful at first sight this morning but alerted by an observer in Australia a prominence on the eastern limb was carefully watched. Its eruptions at times almost volcanic in appearance evolved from minute to minute and the sketches made with a Solarmax60 show only a small time slot of the activity.
