This image was composed with two exposures: The first is a 15 second exposure for the star points, the second a 15 minute exposure to capture the star trails. Note that Mars is the bright trail in the upper left hand side of the picture. The gradient effect is light pollution from the city of Atlanta. Taken with a Nikon D200, 18-200mm lens at 18mm, f/3.5, ISO 200.
