Dear Dr Phillips: In anticipation of the Crescent Moon Conjunction with Venus and Mercury tonight, I completed a large pastel sketch today of what may be seen from the top of Mount Tabor Park in Central East Portland Oregon at sunset looking west from this vantage point toward the downtown skyline at sunset. Our late fall to winter weather sometimes produces spectacular sunsets with bright celestial objects shining through broken clouds; so I encourage all to observe tonight, weather permitting. -Mark *A compilation of three past Lunar-Planetary conjunctions in large pastels [formerly featured in Spaceweather] enclosed/ attached.
