This image of Comet Lulin taken on the evening of February 28, 2009 nicely corresponds to the view through large binoculars, but there is an extra - at least four faint background galaxies were caught in this short exposure. The galaxy closest to the nucleus is NGC 3020, the others are NGC 3024, NGC 3019 and NGC 3016. Their magnitude ranges from 12.8 to 14.8. Image taken by Markus Weber and Eva Seidenfaden.
