Hi Tony At 02.50 BST I happened to look to the low northern sky and was shocked to see an aurora below the Great Bear!. With the naked eye a vertical ray of light could be seen moving across the horizon to the N with a more intense glow on the horizon. The camera picked up the green colour of the display very well. It was gone in 10 min's. Not a spectacular display by any means but still an aurora. The first I have seen from N. Ireland in a long time. Hopefully a sign of greater things to come!
