Hi Tony Tonight I was delighted to see another very nice noctilucent cloud display. This was of type 3 brightness and stretched from the NW to N sky 80 degrees in azimuth and reached over 30 degrees high before dawn. The most remarkable feature of the display was the beautiful glowing blue bands and waves as if an artist had painted blue streaks across the sky. It lasted all night long and consisted of strange vertical silver coloured pillars at its peak. Fujifim S6500 6.3MP at ISO100 6.5 sec exp.
