Strong wind blew away the afternoon clouds so the beautiful closing conjunction of Moon and Venus shone on our clear sky. Both objects were easily visible just by sunset, and later on the view became even more and more stunning. The strong earthshine made Moon's shadowed surface very bright and Venus was shining like a big gemstone. Soon the sky darkened and thousands of stars twinkled above me. Despite the light pollution of my hometown even Uranus appeared on my pics! Tomorrow the celestial pair will get even closer - but according to the forecast our weather will be less favourable. Hopefully many places on our planet it will be clear and people will look up and see the beauties of the conjunction!
