These images show the dynamic nature of the prominence activity today. The first image, 16h UT, was a bit faint; the second time that we observed imaged the prominence it was so faint that we completely overexposed the surface of the sun. The overexposure caused the sun's limb to appear to extend out towards the detached prom.
