Details:
The northern lights looked promising based on the forecasts and photos submitted earlier in the evening by those in the mid to eastern U.S. However, they were barely detectable in northwestern Washington from 9-12pm PDT. A faint slightly greenish glow would come and go, intermixed with the light pollution of Vancouver below. Some banding picked up at 30 seconds of exposure, with interspersed areas of red and green.
