I've attempted to image the ISS in transit for years but unsuccessfully. This time I had to drive 25 km North from my home for the best view. On March 16 everything went smoothly and thanks to Arnold Barmettler and his wonderful website CalSky for very accurate transit predictions, the transit was spectacular, even though I saw it though the viewfinder of my camera between the frames. I decided not to take a video, but rather photograph at high rate and high resolution through a small 80 mm refractor telescope with a black polymer filter attached.
Camera- Canon EOS-550D @ISO-200; exposure time 1/1250 sec.
