Only 20 degrees above the horizon from my site, but what a spectacular view. The biggest prominence I have ever seen, and also the biggest filament I have ever seen: all at the same time. I made a full disk pastel sketch of the Sun through my 70mm h-alpha telescope to capture the whole scene in one drawing. This was one of the most spectacular observations of the year, a view to remember.
