Details:
After a number of cloudy and rainy days, on Monday October 13th the night started clear with clouds slowy drifting. The moon was full, lighting up the mountains on Hillesøya (next to Sommarøy in Troms). Just before 9 PM the first hints of the aurora appeared and danced for about an hour in the sky. After that the Aurora was no longer visible, partly because of the clouds, but mainly because it simply disappeared. On the first photo the big dipper also shows nicely. Camera: Nikon D70, ISO 1600, F3.5, 6 seconds F4.0, 10 seconds F5.0, 20 seconds
