While under an evacuation alert from the Glenrosa Fire in West Kelowna, British Columbia I noticed the Planetary K-index was at a storm level( thanks to spaceweather.com), So I climbed onto my roof hoping that the smoke was clear enough to see the sky, which it was and I got to see the best display I have seen in at least two years especially this far south, the orange in the image is from another fire about 7km north of where I am at. As well as auroras I can also see trees candling on the hillside behind my house. Its non stop excitement around here.
