Amazing aurora show, so bright they lit the mountains up an emerald green color.

Green arc from horizon to horizon for about 1 hour. Not very bright, it was a little hazy at times with the odd cloud. Sony EX1 HD camcorder using slow shutter and timelapse.

This february 11th, 2008 the auroras hunters and friend, Gilles Boutin and Sylvain Serré shared the most beautiful northern lights of Nunavik. Salluit is a wonderful place to watch but you have to know how to get them and deal with cold weather of nordic area.

Aurora captured with Olympus E3 and 8mm fisheye and 7-14mm lens. Myself and Al Chapman travelled from the UK to witness this event. Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th were incredible evenings. Clear skies and very cold. Displays started at 530pm and continued till after midnight. Arctic conditions made shooting extremely difficult but very rewarding. The skies were alive with colour and dancing so eloquently. It was a truly wonderful spectacle. We were privileged.
