The eclipse seen
in projection through the vegetation looked like the suction
cups of the octopus tentacles. The spectacle of the solar ring,completely
new for me, was absolutely beautiful!

Look carefully at
the full-sized picture.
The profile of a lunar crater appears clearly in front of the
solar disc.

With a blank piece
of paper under the tree canopy many sun eclipses were projected
by the little openings between the leaves. Notice the projections
are upside down, because the leaves act like a pinhole camera.
These pictures were taken during the totality (60 % sun
disk ubstruction) around 11.05 am local time.
