Details:
We had an unexpected show of all-sky aurora on Feb 10 as a surprise CME impact shot the Kp index to 4 quite rapidly at about 10 pm CST, and the Bz went south. All good! As a result the sky opened up with a fine display with multiple curtains over much of the sky. This was from the Churchill Northern Studies Centre, in Churchill, Manitoba (latitude 58ยบ N) where the first group of aurora tourists for the 2024 aurora season are enjoying clear nights and good auroras.
