Details:
Newly Discovered Comet Lovejoy C/2013 R1 I captured this image while the comet was moving through the Constellation of Monoceros (The Unicorn), the Unicorn is to the Left or East of Orion! So move over Comet ISON, you will have to share the morning sky with Comet Lovejoy! Despite the strong moonlight I captured the green colored outer envelope or outer coma, which is a is a poisonous gas known as (CN2), typically found in most comets! Comet Lovejoy C/2013 R1 is at around 12th Magnitude in this image. Captured from my Observatories in Yellow Springs, Ohio On 09-22-2013 with my home-made 16” scope & QHY8 cooled color CCD camera 25 minute exposure tracking on the Comets Nucleus.
