Orionid Auroras: Thick clouds lifted for brief moment in the northern sky. I took some pictures and found one with a meteor on it by surprise.

Orionid Auroras: In just one out of 70 frames shot during one hour after midnight, I was lucky enough to get a Orionid meteor on my chip. During the hour I spent outside in a freezing wind I observed a total of 8 meteors all originated from a point slightly left of Orion.

Mild auroral activity was visible in between the clouds and fog on the night of October 20. On one image a plane came flying straight towards the auroa and created a nice trail.

In the last week or so, we have had a lot of auroras. I went up to the lake to take some startrail pictures, but the Moon and the bright auroras put a stop to that.

Auroras partly blinded by the disco-skylights at the Trysil ski-resort (3 hours north of Oslo - only 61.5 degree N). Still the picture turned out great with the moon and the fog in the valley.

I was surprised to see auroras tonight so I went out and shot a few pictures of the show. The Moon was rising behind the mountains and the auroras were dancing around.
