Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) taken 2013/09/30 UT10:44:02 under good skies with Meade 10" LX-200 w/f6.3 fr, Canon T4i dslr, iso 6400, single 30s exp showing tail extension. TheSkyX chart shows the cropped field of about 1/2d. A 21% waning crescent Moon was 10d from the comet. Mars is 2d away and both are heading towards the 'heart of the Lion' in Leo, Regulus for a mid-Oct grouping. The views of Comet 'ISON' taken from the Mars area over the next few days will be very interesting.
